Lauren's Way Darker Than Dark Tanning Lotion - Review!

Hello there glitter bugs!
I've got another review for you now, i won some of the new Lauren's Way Darker Than Dark Tanning Lotion from The Sunday Girl's giveaway and now i've tested it i thought i'd let you all know what i think!
Lauren's Way is a range of fake tans created by Lauren Goodger of The Only Way Is Essex fame.
Sorry for the slightly grubby packaging, i forgot to take a picture of it before i started tanning haha!
As you can see, it's really sleek, simple packaging, don't think many people would dislike it.

It comes out a pretty scary colour! But as i always say, the darker the better! I applied this with my St Moriz tanning mitt, the best one i've used.

This is the natural colour of my arm, ghostly as you can see! I resemble a milk bottle haha.

After one coat:

After two coats:

After three coats:

After four coats (yes, i like to be quite tanned!):

A nice satsuma shade! haha, i like to build it up and then wash it off the next morning but sometimes i do use it straight before a night out or a special occasion to get a darker tan instantly, it works really well either way!
But you can be a bit sloppier with it if you're going to wash it off in the morning, as that washes away any of the streaks.
The next morning it developed into this colour:

Not exactly a subtle glow haha! but i must admit i suffer from a bit of ''tan blindness'', i can never tell when my tan is too dark!
After i'd been in the shower it faded to this colour:
I think it looks really natural, it doesn't make you look as orange as St Moriz does, it has a definite olive colour.
The smell is a cross between the classic fake tan smell and a grapefruit-ish scent, it definitely doesn't smell as bad as St Moriz, that can get a bit overwhelming!
It's not as drying on your skin either, especially not the lotion, so if you suffer from dry skin i'd definitely recommend this!
This retails for £17.95 on the Lauren's Way website so it's not as expensive as other self tanners, i personally think this is a good price for the product that you get!
This is my favourite fake tan i've tried by far, well done Lauren!
Have you tried this? What was your opinion?
Thanks for reading!!

  4. I was expecting a "darker than dark" self tanning lotion to turn out darker, but it still looks gorgeous, especially after the fourth coats (four coats - woah!). St Moriz has never turned me orange, although I never used four coats in a row ahah x

  5. I must admitt from the name I was expecting this to be super dark but it looks nice and natural! It's a shame you had to apply so many coats to get the desired colour though - I don't think I could be bothered haha!! One coat is an effort in itself!! Xx.

    1. Yeah it has kind of a red undertone after it's washed off, but a green one as it's being applied, quite odd but makes for a natural glow :)

  12. Thank you for some other informative web site. Where else could I get that type of information written in such an ideal way? I’ve a challenge that I’m simply now running on, and I’ve been at the look out for such info.
