Stila In The Light Palette - Review!

Hey there girls!
I'm going to do a review on one of my Christmas presents today, the Stila In The Light eyeshadow palette!
I got this off my boyfriend which was a brilliant surprise, he's obviously heard and seen me lusting over it for months!

It comes in this sturdy cardboard packaging, i really like it!
I like the cute stars on the front and how it's different from any other palettes that i own! Although the magnetic closure isn't exactly strong, it pops open sometimes and i think it would be dangerous to keep loose in your bag!

It doesn't have a mirror, which doesn't bother me because i never use the mirrors in palettes anyway, but it does have a lovely quote which is something different!

You also get a sweet little leaflet with some tutorials on different eye looks;
I'm not one for trying tutorials, but i might give one or two of these a go!

Are you salivating yet? Cos i know i am!
I literally couldn't stop staring at them when i opened them, i took pictures straight away so i could start swatching and messing around with them as soon as possible!

Now for the most exciting bit, swatches!!
Top row -
Bare, Kitten, Bliss, Sunset, Sandstone.

Bottom row -
Champagne, Gilded Gold, Luster, Night Sky, Ebony.
Stila Smudge Stick in Damsel.

Aren't they gorgeous?!
It's just the most beautiful palette, i'm in love with it!
The shadows are buttery and such good quality! Especially the shimmer shades, unbelievable pigmentation!

As i said, this was a gift from my boyfriend but it retails at £25 which is expensive, and i probably wouldn't have paid that for it if it was my own money, but now i've got it i absolutely love it!

What's your favourite eyeshadow palette?
Thanks for reading!!

    1. I don't have the Naked 1 palette but it does look slightly similar from what I've seen of swatches, I don't think it would put me off buying the Naked 1 palette having the Stila one!

  12. oh these swatches you have shown are making me want to buy this even more now! i seen this at the Stila counter in boots just before christmas & £25 does sound exspensive but i think the eyeshadows are worth it as the quality looks amazing! :D although it would make me not spend any more on beauty products for a few weeks or a month haha :P

hope you had a nice christmas & new year :)

    1. Yeah when you jot up how much each eyeshadow costs individually then it doesn't seem like a lot of money at all, but it's hard to think like that when it's £25 of your own money you're parting with haha but I'd definitely recommend it, not that I'm trying to be a bad influence on you or anything ;) haha

  13. Hi there,

I hope you had a great Christmas and New Year. The palette looks absolutely beautiful, the colours are so dark and contrasty. You must surely count your blessings that you have such an amazing boyfriend, who always picks nice presents by the looks of things.

Hope you enjoy the upcoming Easter festivities.

    1. They're brilliant eyeshadows! Very glittery, so i'm not sure how they'd fare with sensitive eyes, but for people with normal eyes they'd be fine :)
Thank you very much! I'm checking out your blog as we speak :)
