Stila (Limited Edition) Sparkle Luxe Eye Palette - Review!

Happy Saturday! The weekend is here!!
Not that that bothers me because i've been off work all week and in Edinburgh with my boyfriend, we visited there for Valentines day, from Sunday until Friday, and we had such a ace time! We went to a place called Camera Obscura which is full of illusions, holograms and trickery, but other than that we just relaxed, went shopping, ate out and did more shopping! Expect a massive Edinburgh haul before long!!
But now onto this review, i got this eyeshadow palette from my lovely boyfriend for Valentines day, he knows me too well!
If you follow me on Instagram (link to my Instagram is in the sidebar of this blog) you will have seen pictures of this already, it's so gorgeous!

You get 9 creamy eyeshadows, including 3 matte shades and 6 cream-to-powder shadows with a super shimmery finish, and a limited edition Stila Smudge Stick in Ladyfish, as far as i can see from googling the shades, they're all only available within this palette, which is very appealing! I love a limited edition shade, makes it seem better value for money.
It has THE most beautiful packaging, it might be a bit too much for some but personally i love glitter/shimmer/anything sparkly so this is heaven for me! And it's not the kind of glitter that falls off and gets everywhere which is brilliant.
The only thing i would say is that the glitter is front and back, which means it makes it hard to read the ingredients list and the shade names on the back of the packaging, but personally i don't care! I'd happily sacrifice them for this beautiful glittery box!
It also comes with a decent sized mirror but it doesn't stand up on it's own, if you wanted to put this on a table and do your makeup hands-free you'd need to prop the mirror up with something behind it.

These are some of the most beautiful eyeshadows i've ever laid eyes on, the fallout is very minimal, if any.
My favourite shades have to be ''<3 Of The Ocean'' and ''Bordeaux'', just gorgeous, multi-dimensional colours, they look beautiful on the eye! And the Smudge Stick is such a stunning colour, with the tiny bits of pink shimmer running through it, it accompanies ''Bordeaux'' and ''Marilyn'' perfectly!
I'm a bit puzzled by the three matte shades, in a palette called ''Sparkle Luxe'', but nonetheless i'm glad that they're there because they're the best mattes i've ever tried! Super pigmented and easy to apply and blend.

As a side note, i also spotted a couple of possible dupes within this palette, i also bought MAC's Cranberry eyeshadow this week and when i swatched them side by side they were pretty close!

In the middle is MAC's Cranberry, and on the left is Marilyn from the palette, and the left is Bordeaux, pretty close i think! Marilyn is slightly pinker and Bordeaux is slightly plummier though.

Overall this is a gorgeous palette, I've become a huge fan of Stila recently, their eyeshadows are amazing and full of shimmer, which is my preference when it comes to eyeshadow.
But the matte shades really pull this together to make it a great palette for day and night.

The Stila Sparkle Luxe Palette is currently on sale for £14 (the price of basically one MAC eyeshadow!) on ASOS.

Hope you're having a great weekend so far! What did you get for Valentines day?
