July Favourites!!

Hello my pretties!
It's (unbelievably!) that time again, favourites time!!
I didn't think I had many favourites..until I started hunting for them, and then I came up with a veritable booty!!
As usual there'll be some random ones in the mix too.

My boyfriend got me this palette a few weeks ago and I've been loving it, it's so much more warm toned than the Naked 2 palette and you can create so many different looks! Yes, it's expensive, but Debenhams usually has a lot of different offer like VAT free or 10% off, so it doesn't need to be SO expensive.

Dove Purely Pampering Cream Bath in Almond Cream with Hibiscus.
I got this from Sainsbury's for about £1.50 on offer, I can't seem to find a link to it online anywhere, but I assure you it does exist haha!
It's really creamy and creates lots of gorgeous bubbles, I wouldn't waste my money on a expensive bubble bath, these cheapy ones do the job brilliantly, and this one has the added bonus of smelling divine!!

I've been loving using a felt tip style eyeliner lately, I hadn't used one for ages because I thought they weren't black enough for me, but this one is super black and pigmented, and you can create a really thin line or build it up to be thicker.
The only negative is it can smudge a little bit but if you set it with some black eyeshadow I find that helps.

I resisted buying this for so long because I've tried Essie nail varnishes before and I didn't think much of the application, plus they're pretty expensive at £7.99! But when they had a buy one get one half price offer I had to take advantage!
This is a beautiful milky pink, it makes your hands look really sophisticated and feminine and is a really unique colour!

I recently did a post about these new eyeshadow pencils, and this one is a particular favourite!
It's amazing for a highlight in the inner corner, it doesn't budge at all and gives a really intense highlight.

This is so lovely to take all my makeup off with, I'm a fan of these creamy cleansers over an oil-based one anyday!
This one really refreshes my face and makes it feel squeaky clean.

I go through phases with MAC foundations, sometimes I feel like they're too oily for my skin, and other times I really love this one!
I think it might be because this one is gel-based that it sometimes feels slippery on my skin, but at the moment it's a good colour for my (fake tanned!) skintone and it lasts all day even in the hot kitchen atmosphere I work in.

Random faves!
I got this statement piece from Ebay for 99p about a year ago, and I've only just rediscovered it.
It really adds interest to a plain outfit and I've had a lot of compliments on it!
Postage takes a couple of weeks but for 99p, who can complain?!

I ADORED this game, it seriously got me hooked!! I know not many beauty bloggers feature video games in their favourites but I couldn't not feature this, it had such a linear storyline that really grabbed my attention.
Basically you play a cop from the 50's, and you have to interrogate witnesses, find the perpetrators of the crimes, pick up clues, it's gripping stuff!
The only downside is the lead character that you play throughout most of the game is a bit of a douchebag haha but he redeems himself sometimes.
As you can see from its 18 rating, it's not for the faint-hearted, but I would definitely recommend it, it's like a movie except interactive and much longer!
You will even recognise a few of the actors if you watch a lot of American TV because they used brilliant motion capture technology which means it's actually the actors faces and facial expressions, as well as their voices, on show in the game!
I can't do it justice so go and look on Youtube at videos of this game if you want to know more, but I highly recommend it!
Roll on L.A. Noire 2!!

My two favourite apps aren't very original, the ever-famous Instagram (I'm an addict! Link to my profile is on the right hand side of my blog) and Tune-In Radio, which is amazing for listening to any radio station you want, I love all the GotRadio stations, there's something for everyone.

Law & Order : Special Victims Unit.
I'm obsessed with this show at the moment! Again, I know it's not for the faint-hearted, but I love these cop shows and even though the subject matter is upsetting I find the acting and storylines to be so top notch that it makes up for it! What a shame Christopher Meloni and Mariska Hargitay aren't in it anymore, they were great together.

And finally, some music favourites!

Carrie Underwood - See You Again.

Carrie Underwood - Mama's Song.

Demi Lovato - Made In The USA.

Gabrielle Aplin - Panic Chord.

As you can see, I'm really championing the female singers right now!
And that's all (like it wasn't much...) for this month!!
Hope you're all well and the week isn't dragging too much for you, it'll be the weekend before you know it!!

TTFN!
