Long time no see!!
I bet you all thought I'd disappeared off the face of the earth, but I can assure you I'm still sat on the earth's face!....that sounds wrong.
I've actually been missing for so long because I've been moving house! I now live in my first grown up house with my boyfriend, I've officially flown the nest!
I may do some sort of house tour post at some point, we'll see!
Onto the post!

I was kindly sent this Bblonde Lightening Spray from Jerome Russell for review and now that I've tested it properly for about a month it's time for my honest review!

The concept of this product is that you spray it onto your hair (it's not recommended for anyone with darker than light brown hair) and it gradually lightens your hair.
You're supposed to spray it on wet hair and then when you heat style your hair it activates the lighteners in the product, and it also contains heat protection which is nifty because I remember having a product like this from John Frieda and I didn't really like it because it made my hair so dry with all the heat styling I had to do!

I've applied this now countless times and it definitely does lighten my hair, but it is quite subtle!
I have brown hair but I also have a dip dye so the ends of my hair are a dark blonde colour, and it's definitely made it lighter and it knocks out some of the brassy tones my hair tends to lean towards.

I tend to use it every other time I wash and blowdry my hair because I like to use the Dove Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In spray in between using this just so my hair stays in nice condition (that stuff is amazing by the way, I'd definitely recommend picking it up!!) and I don't like to use an oil and the lightening spray as I've heard that oils make your hair turn brassy so it seems counter-productive to use them together!

All in all, this is great if you have a dip dye like me, or if you have highlights and you want to lighten things up a bit more without doing anything drastic to your hair and risking damaging it a lot.
Super simple to use, which is a big plus and doesn't damage your hair as much as other lightening sprays which is great because once you've bleached your hair you don't want to put it through anymore stress or damage!

Jerome Russell Bblonde Lightening Spray retails for £5.99 at Boots or Superdrug stores nationwide, or online.
