Le Couvent Des Minimes Smile Lipbalm.

I'm a big fan of lip balms in general, I always have one with me and if for some reason I forget it then I'm inconsolable and have to go and buy one immediately, dry lips are just a pet hate for me!
So when Le Couvent Des Minimes offered to send me one of their Smile lip balms I couldn't resist.
They sent me the pear scent, which is different because you don't see a lot of pear scented products, but I'd probably have preferred their mint scented lip balm because I'm a sucker for mint scents!
This scent is exactly like pear drop sweets, so if you don't like strongly scented products you probably won't like this.

As I said before, I'm a bit of a connoisseur when it comes to lip balms and because of that I'm very picky, so I was always going to be hard to impress with this product.
The packaging is cute, I like the silver with the pale blue and the handy applicator tip, but I prefer stick lip balms over squeezy ones really.

This is an all natural product so doesn't contain any nasties like mineral oil or petroleum, but weirdly it feels like it does!
It has that slippy, drying texture that those kind of products have, it makes my lips feel claggy and sticky and I'm not a big fan of it at all.
As I said, I am hard to please when it comes to lip balms but I think I'll stick to Burt's Bees and Nuxe Reve De Miel from now on.
Le Couvent Des Minimes also do a lip balm in a pot which sounds similar to Nuxe Reve De Miel so maybe I'd enjoy that more.
If you do want to try this product then it's available in Boots stores for £5.00, or on the Le Couvent Des Minimes website, link here.
